Overview
Responsibility for management and oversight of all tax aspects of all Group activities in Ireland, encompassing all business lines: corporate & institutional banking, insurance, asset management and real estate, including all structured SPVs. Responsible for global tax management of Irish Group companies, particularly in the supply chain and inventory financing areas.
Objectives & Responsibilities
Provision of strategic tax information and advice to the business, locally and internationally
Management of Tax Reporting for all Entities in Ireland.
Assurance of accurate/timely tax compliance and reporting to tax authorities via the appointed Tax Heads of each locally registered entity (including outsourced providers).
Ensure completeness and accuracy of the cost accounting function
Organisation & Team: Ensure that the Tax and Cost Accounting Team is appropriately organized and staffed with the correct profiles according to the business needs of the Bank and Entities under responsibility. Directly oversee the Staff Development, Training and Succession planning.
Finance & Tax Projects & Systems: Within the scope of responsibilities, support the CFO in rolling out of the new systems, change of organisational setup, maintenance and enhancement of Finance & Tax systems, etc. in strict liaison with the Regional Finance Projects & Systems Team, located in MFSC.
Educational background:
University degree in Tax Law, Finance & Accounting, Economics or comparable background
Tax qualified, qualified accountant desirable.
Minimum 10 years’ taxation experience
